City National Bank…

Sponsors Veritage Miami

In just a few weeks, thousands of wine, beer, spirits and food lovers from across South Florida will gather for VeritageMiami – a four-day event that offers plenty of fun and excitement, while benefiting the South Florida community.

“City National Bank is proud to be the presenting sponsor of VeritageMiami,” said Jorge Gonzalez, the bank’s president and CEO. “This is an excellent opportunity to highlight Miami’s culinary scene and top sommeliers, notable chefs, prestigious wineries, winemakers and breweries with our community.”

Gonzalez added that City National Bank has a deep commitment to community service through sponsorships, corporate donations and the volunteer efforts of its employees. In 2011 and again in 2013, CNB was also honored as “Community Bank of the Year” by the South Florida Business Journal and received the “Outstanding Community Service Award” from the same publication in 2012. Readers of the Daily Business Review also voted City National Bank the Best Community Bank.

This year’s VeritageMiami lineup begins with a Craft Beer Tasting at Wynwood Walls on Wednesday, April 9, where guests will pair treats from local restaurants with 100 craft beers and micro-brews. The celebration continues on April 10, at a Fine Wine Tasting at the Village of Merrick Park. More than 65 wine producers and importers will showcase 300 wines, which guests will sample and pair with delights from some of Miami’s most celebrated restaurants.

On Friday, April 11, the popular Interactive Dinner will take place at the InterContinental Miami, headlined by Alberto Cabrera of Bread + Butter, Todd Erickson of HaVen South Beach, José Mendín of The Pubbelly Group, Giorgio Rapicavoli of Eating House and César Zapata of The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions.

VeritageMiami will wrap up with an Auction & Wine Dinner on the diamond at Marlins Park on Saturday, April 12. Guests will enjoy dinner, award-winning wines, and an after-party, along with an auction to benefit United Way of Miami-Dade.

Since its inception, VeritageMiami has raised more than $12 million for the community. All proceeds support United Way’s work in education, financial stability and health. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit
